About my Icon art:

Byzantine Iconography – is the oldest and only Christian art form survived unchanged for the past 2000 years.

The term 'icon' - icona, ikona, икона (Russian) comes from the Greek word eikona (εἰκών, eikōn, ) which simply means image. The Eastern Orthodox believe that the first icons of Christ and the Virgin Mary were painted by St. Luke the Evangelist.

Pow Wow - is one of the oldest, most important and colourful Aboriginal ceremonies.

Pow Wows traditionally have been dedicated to warriors and a way of giving thanks to the Creator for all that Mother Earth provides for Her people. In short a "Thanksgiving" ceremony.

This is the largest Native celebration the Grand river Six Nations Reserve holds during the year and it features the Pow Wow Dance Competition which showcases over 400 dancers from across North America who are dressed in authentic costume.

And.... Food was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! And... the price of the Gas on the reserv's Gas station :))))))))

Mural is finished. Next week, when the scaffolds will be gone, I'll try to take a shot of an entire Apse.
For now - our assistant Stephen washing the excess of glue from the mural.
